Salwa El-Deghali

Salwa Fawzi El- Deghali (Arabic سلوى فوزي الدغيلي ) (* in Benghazi ) is a Libyan law scholar and member of the National Transitional Council.

El- Deghali earned his PhD in constitutional law and taught before the outbreak of the Libyan civil war, 2011 at the " Academy of Graduate Studies " in Benghazi.

The Transitional Council is representative of women and known by name as the only three women in the Transitional Council. It assumes, however, that women will continue to comprise an integral part of the government.

In addition, it is before the Committee on Legal Affairs ( Legal Advisory Committee). This is responsible primarily to establish a stable government to write laws for the transitional period and prepare the official elections. In addition, it determined on suspicion of war crimes against troops of Muammar Gaddafi, working with the International Criminal Court together.
