Sam Baker (writer)

Sam Baker ( * July 1966 ) is a British journalist. She was until December 2006 the editor of the magazine " Cosmopolitan " in the UK. Currently (February 2007) is an editor at "Red" ("Red" ), published by the French media company Hachette, and one of the fashion magazine "Elle" magazine related.

She was born in Hampshire, southern England and studied Politics at the University of Birmingham. After graduation, she worked as an article writer and editor for numerous British women's magazines, including " Red ," " New Woman" ( The New Woman ), "Chat" ( chat ) and "Take a Break" ( Do you ever pause ). After re- launch of the youth magazine "Just Seventeen" ( just seventeen ) under the new title " J -17", she spent five years as editor of the British women's magazine " Company, " until they acknowledged the work there to her first novel "Fashion Victim" ( about: writing fashion victim ). This took place at the New York Time magazine recognition as "one of the five durchschlagendsten Erstwerke in summer 2005."

Sam Baker hosted radio programs, which deal with problem issues of young women. It has a residence in Winchester, Hampshire and London, together with her partner, Jon Courtenay Grimwood novelist.
