Sam Webb

Sam Webb ( * July 16, 1945 in Maine ) is an American politician and current Chairman of the Communist Party USA.

Life

1967 graduated from Sam Webb at Saint Francis Xavier University in Antigonish Canadian town. He holds a master's degree in economics from the University of Connecticut. In the years 1978-1988 he worked for the CPUSA in Michigan. Today he lives in New York City.

Political career

In 2000, Webb took over the post of chairman of the CPUSA by Gus Hall, after he led the party over four decades, in that office, which he created especially as a substitute for the working practice in the Communist Parties, the Secretary-General. His deputy is Jarvis Tyner. Lately he toured countries whose form of real socialism is, like North Korea or Cuba.
