Sambo Choji

Sambo " Sammy" Choji ( born March 13, 1977) is a former Nigerian football player. The striker spent most of his career at German club 1.FC Saarbrücken.

Career

In youth Sambo Choji played in his home country at the Association Greater Tomorrow and for a German club from Hostenbach. In 1993, with U- 17 National Team Nigeria at the U- 17 World Championship in Japan, in which the team won the title.

In 1995 he played in the first team of the 1st FC Saarbruecken, with which he took first in the Regionalliga West / Southwest. 2000 was followed by promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga, in which Saarbrücken could hold until 2002. After the recovery, this year re- descent into the Regional Sambo Choji left the club.

It followed him year-old stations at second division Eintracht Braunschweig and again in Saarbrücken / 04 took third place in the final table of the Regionalliga Süd and thus the re- ascent to the second division in 2003. Choji itself was, however, the Iranian club Persepolis loaned in the same year from Tehran to which he finally joined in 2005.

2006 Choji also played for half a year at the SKN St. Pölten in Austria.
