Samegrelo and Upper Svaneti (Georgian სამეგრელო და ზემო სვანეთი, Samegrelo Zemo Svaneti there; completely სამეგრელოს და ზემო სვანეთის მხარე, Samegrelos as Semo Swanetis Mchare ) is an administrative region in the north- western Georgia. It is bordered by Russia to the north and to the northwest by the politically controversial Georgian region of Abkhazia. It comprises the major part of the historical region of Samegrelo and the northern part of historic region of Svaneti. The capital is Zugdidi.

The region is divided into nine municipalities ( munizipaliteti ), which are named after their administrative headquarters Abascha, Chobi, Martwili, Mestia, Poti, Senaki, Zugdidi, Tschchorozqu and Zalendschicha.
