Samiha Ayverdi

Samiha Ayverdi ( born November 25, 1905 in Istanbul, † March 22, 1993 ibid ) was a Turkish author and mystic. She was a supporter of the Sufidenkers Kenan Rifai.

In 1938 she wrote her first novel Aşk Budur. In 1966 she founded the Turkish House Women's Association.

Annemarie Schimmel devoted several of its publications Samiha Ayverdi. Located in Istanbul's Fatih 2005, a school was named after her.
