Samir Javadzadeh

Samir Cavadzadə (or Javadzade; born April 16, 1980 in Baku ) is an Azerbaijani singer. He represented Azerbaijan at the Euro Vision Song Contest 2008.

Biography

Samir Cavadzadə enrolled in 1997 at the University of Economics in Baku at the Institute for International Economic Relations a. In 1998, he worked for three years at a music school. During this time he played in the band Sharon.

Participation in the Euro Vision Song Contest

On February 2, 2008 Cavadzadə won Elnur Huseynov together with the Azerbaijani preliminary decision to Euro Vision Song Contest 2008 ( ES), Land of Fire, with the song Day after day. Cavadzadə and Huseynov came here as an angel ( Hüseynov ) and devil on ( Cavadzadə ). In the first semifinal of the ESC on 20 May 2008 succeeded in both, being placed among the top ten posts, which meant the collection in the four days later held the final, where they finished in eighth position in the victory of the Russian Dima Bilan.
