Samir Toplak

Samir Toplak ( born April 23, 1970) is a former Croatian football player.

Career

Toplak played until 1998 in the first HNL, the Croatian first league, NK Varaždin. From there he moved to Germany for VfL Bochum. With Bochum he played in the 1998/99 season in the Bundesliga. In his first season in Germany, he played under coach Klaus Toppmöller 21 games and scored one goal. He played in the defense alongside Axel Sundermann, Tomasz Waldoch and Torsten Kracht. Toplaks first Bundesliga season was not crowned with success, the end of season Bochum relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga. Bochum managed in the 1999/2000 season the chances of promotion to the Bundesliga. So followed his second Bundesliga season for Toplak, these ended in relegation. He remained an additional year in Bochum, where the ascent was made ​​again. Toplak returned to NK Varaždin. In 2005 he moved to NK Granicar Tucenik, with whom he played one year in the amateur field. Since 2010 Toplak is a football coach and coached previously NK Varaždin, Cibalia Vinkovci and since the end of December 2012 HNK Gorica.
