The plant had about 60 to 100 under the brands UZotoyol and Ford assembled at the beginning of each year for the Uzbek domestic market. The units have been Delivered as so-called CKD kits.

On 19 March 1999, the production was recorded. Available were the two bus models UzOtoyol М М UzOtoyol 23.9 and 24.9 as well as the truck UzOtoyol 35.9, 65.9 and UzOtoyol UzOtoyol 80.12. The following year, then came the coach UzOtoyol М 29.12. 2001 then began their own production and only a few parts had to be sourced from outside companies. End of 2003, the assembly of the Land Rover Freelander began. To make this possible, UzAvtosanoat had to retool the plant, which devoured a sum of 7.67 million dollars. To keep costs down, a part of the production line was taken over by Koç Holding. In October 2005, the Škoda Octavia was added tour. After the Japanese Isuzu Motors held eight percent of the shares in 2007, you saw the deal at risk. The planned sale of the Land Rover brand, which at that time belonged to the Ford Motor Company, caused tensions, so that both sides withdrew more and more from their contractual agreements. Isuzu, however, took advantage of the situation and bought, if the opportunity arose, further shares on. Meanwhile, now also attacked the National Bank of Uzbekistan into the action and initiating legal closure process for the company. Isuzu bought while on the shares, until in February 1999, fifty percent were bought. This allowed the closure can be prevented.

Although the circumstances have changed, you could not reach agreement with the new comers. So the work was finally handed over to the new joint venture of MAN AUTO - Uzbekistan in November and only assumed the role as a general importer for Isuzu. Since the Koç Holding is no longer interested in the company, whose name was simply dropped from the company name. Since then, the manufacturer operates only as Samauto Ltd.. , Co., which for Samarkand Automobile Factory ( Самаркандский Автомобильный Завод ) should stand.
