Samo Tomášik

Samo Tomášik ( born February 8, 1813 in Jelšavská Teplica, Kingdom of Hungary, now part of Gemerské Teplice, Slovakia, † September 10, 1887 in Chyžné, Austria - Hungary) was a Slovak poet and writer, best known for his song Hey, Slováci (Hey, Slovaks ), which later in modified form Sloveni Hej (Hey, Slavs ) became the anthem of the Pan-Slavic movement.
