Marco - the Invincible ( Original title: Maciste alla corte dello zar ) is a mythological adventure film, the Tanio Boccia staged in Italy under his Stammpseudonym Amerigo Anton 1964. The German premiere of the film took place on February 12, 1965.
Action
On the border of Central Asia dig some cavers who are commissioned by the despotic Tsar traveling there, a sarcophagus with the body of a muscular man from. The sun with its light and warmth awakens this, Marco, to a new life; He proves his extraordinary strength. The Tsar orders to bring in to the court; he wants to take advantage of his strength to protect its own interests. Only the Hofmädchen Sonia interested in the people behind the muscles and can by their love the naive man from the perfidy that prevails at the court convince. When Marco therefore resisteth the orders of the Tsar, this will kill him, but fails, and even has some rebels, including Sonia's father, blank. A second assassination attempt on Marco, this time with poison, succeeds; Sonia provides him with the antidote. After his recovery he leads the rebels in their struggle against the Tsar. This is overthrown, and the grateful people honor Marco as a symbol of justice.

Comments
In the original, it is a film of the Maciste series; in the German version does the name Marco hinted the interpreted by Joe stiletto in the 1920s figure of the muscle man Marcco.
The film played in Italy a 180 million lire.
