Samuel Adamson

Samuel Adamson ( born November 27, 1969 in Adelaide / South Australia ) is an Australian playwright and screenwriter. He lives in England since 1991, currently near London.

Adamson had his breakthrough. Playwriting with his first piece Clocks and Whistles at London's Bush Theatre in 1996. He wrote several plays and adaptations for various theaters in London and the screenplay for the short film Running for River with Romola Garai from 2007

The premiere of his highly acclaimed stage adaptation of Pedro Almodovar's film All About My Mother took place in 2007 at the Old Vic Theatre in London, the German premiere in 2009 at Vienna's Theater.
