Samuel Bak

Samuel Bak ( born August 12, 1933, Vilnius ) is a painter from Lithuania, who lives since 1949 in Tel Aviv, Israel, but mainly in New York. He is a survivor of the Holocaust.

Life

Samuel Bak et al studied from 1946 to 1948 at the Blocherer school in Munich. Since 1952 he has worked for Art and Design in Jerusalem in the Bezalel Academy. He designed stage sets and costumes for the Habima and Ohel Theater in Tel Aviv. From 1956 to Bak studied for three years at the Ecole des Beaux -Arts in Paris under Jean Souverbie.

Bak had solo exhibitions at the Carnegie International in Pittsburgh, the Museum of Modern Art in Tel Aviv, in the Bezalel Museum and at Yad Vashem.
