Life

Newhouse shares the management of Advance Publications, the largest media group in the United States, privately owned, with his brother, Donald Newhouse and is a board of Condé Nast Publications, embarrassed among other things, Vogue and Vanity Fair.

The Forbes Magazine Newhouse led in 2006 to 26th place in a list of the richest Americans.

Newhouse is also an art collector, he was a former owner of the most expensive painting in the world: Jackson Pollock's action painting titled No. 5, 1948 from the year 1948. Moreover, he was until 1997 the owner of Piet Mondrian's last painting Victory Boogie Woogie, which since belongs to the inventory of the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag.
