Samuel Parkman Tuckerman

Samuel Parkman Tuckerman ( born February 11, 1819 in Boston / Massachusetts, † June 30, 1890 in Newport / Rhode Iceland ) was an American composer.

The student of Charles Zeuner worked since 1840 as organist at St. Paul 's Episcopal Church in Boston. After a four-year stay in England, he became in 1853 organist of Trinity Church. Between 1856 and 1864 he lived again in England and in Switzerland. He has published several collections of hymns and anthems and composed a large number of church music works.
