The San Bernardino is a tributary of Lake Maggiore, in the province of Verbano -Cusio -Ossola in Piedmont, Italy. The San Bernardino arises in the Val Grande National Park at the confluence of the two source streams Valgrande Rio and Rio Pogallo. Between Pallanza and Intra the river flows at an altitude of 193 m slm in the Lago Maggiore. The 132.35 km ² large catchment area includes, among other things, the Val Grande and Val Pogallo.
