San-Francisco-Marathon

The San Francisco Marathon is a marathon, which takes place in San Francisco since 1977 in July or August. Its popularity is mainly due to the many attractions that are happening on the track.

The start line is located on the Embarcadero at the Ferry Building. First one is always running on the bay of San Francisco along toward the Golden Gate. After having crossed Fisherman's Wharf and Fort Mason, it goes in the Presidio to the Golden Gate Bridge. After the crossing you turn on the Vista Point and returns on the other lane of the bridge. It continues to the south, where a large loop is rotated by the Golden Gate Park, then through Haight-Ashbury in the direction of the bay and finally at AT & T Park over to the goal that is two blocks south of the launch on the Embarcadero.

Both the first and the second half of the marathon course will be offered as a separate half-marathons, which take place simultaneously with the marathon. Furthermore, counts a 5 - km run the program.
