San Jose (Northern Samar)

San Jose is a Philippine municipality in the province of Northern Samar on the island of Samar. It has 16,079 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 16 barangays. The community is described as partly urban and belongs to the fifth income class municipalities in the Philippines. Your neighboring municipalities are Bobon in the East, Victoria in the south and Rosario in the West. San Jose is located about 20 km west of the provincial capital Catarman on the coast of the Philippine Sea. In front of the coast near the town, are the smaller islands Cabaungon Grande, Cabaungon Pequiño, Tandang, Pangilala, Puropangdan, Matungko and Maghungaw. These are in the nature park and sea reserve Biri Larosa Protected Landscape / Seascape.
