San Matías, Santa Cruz

Las Peta is a village in the department of Santa Cruz in the lowlands of the South American Andean Republic of Bolivia.

Las Peta is the central place of the Canton of San Peta's district ( bolivian: municipality ) in the Province of San Matías Ángel Sandoval. The village lies at an altitude of 142 m five miles south of the Bolivian border with Brazil.

Geography

Las Peta lies on the eastern edge of the Bolivian lowlands in the wetlands of the Pantanal in South America and has a tropical climate with a balanced temperature profile on.
