Sancoins

Sancoins is a commune in the Cher department in the Centre region. The town with 3301 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) is the capital of the eponymous canton Sancoins.

Geography

The village lies on the right bank of the river Aubois, and at the abandoned ship channel Canal de Berry, whose Northeast section follows the river as a side channel.
