Sandavágur

Sandavágur [ ˌ sanda vɔavʊɹ ] (Danish: Sandevåg ) is a place of the Faroe Islands on the south coast of the island Vágar.

Location and infrastructure

Sandavágur means beach cove, and in fact is in its bay, a small sandy beach. The town lies on the only road on the island, which now boasts of Gásadalur about the airport Vágar to Vágartunnel. Place in the neighborhood of the same bay Miðvágur is in the West.

History and Sights
