Sándor Ivády

Sándor Ivády ( born May 1, 1903 in Budapest, † December 21, 1998 in Vienna) was a Hungarian water polo player.

Ivády took first at the water polo tournament of the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam part where you only Argentina, America and France hit before they met in the finals to Germany and after a 2:5 defeat won the silver medal. In four games Ivády scored a single goal.

At the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles Hungary met on America and Japan and then again in the final to Germany. The revenge was successful and Ivády fetched after a 6-2 victory with his team-mates Bródy György József Vértesy, Olivér Halassy, Márton Homonnay, János Németh, István Barta, Alajos Keseru, Miklós and Ferenc Sárkány Keseru the gold medal.
