Sandwichtoaster

A sandwich toaster (also sandwich maker or Sandwicher ) is an electric kitchen appliance for the preparation of baked sandwiches. The sandwich maker is similar in operation to a waffle iron: Essentially, it is a convertible heater into which the -prepare sandwiches are laid. The device is then folded up and fry the sandwiches. The heating surfaces of many sandwich toasters are shaped so that they halve the sandwiches diagonally and so arise today's usual sandwich triangles. Often the heating surfaces are coated so that the loaded sandwich does not adhere.

The first sandwich toaster manufactured since 1974 by the Australian company Breville. Nowadays, sandwich toaster from many different vendors are sold.

The heating power is ≈ 1 kW ( usually a little less).

Most sandwich filled with ham and cheese, the latter melts during frying.
