The Sanetschpass (French Col du Senin, partly Col du Sanetsch ) is a 2252 m high mountain pass in the Bernese Alps. It lies entirely within the Canton of Valais, between the Diablerets massif in the west and the Wildhorn group in the East. The pass connects the Rhône valley in the area of Sion with the upper Saanen valley in Gsteig. In the area of Sanetschpasses is the headwaters of the Sarine river, which drains the area to the north. To the south the Morge flows. The area covered by alpine pastures Pass is relatively wide, westward to include the karst fields Lapis de Tsanfleuron on the eve of the Tsanfleurongletschers.

North of the pass is the high valley Sanetsch to 2000-2100 m above sea level. M. Here the Sanetschsee was dammed. For the construction of the dam, a factory road was built over the Sanetschpass of the Valais side, which can be negotiated with the car today. The construction of a road from near Gsteig would have been too time-consuming because of the difficult terrain on the north side. From today's end of the road a mule track leads down to Gsteig. The region of the Sanetschsees with chapel and mountain restaurant is also accessible from the Bernese side by a cableway. In the summertime, from the Valais side also daily post bus from Sion from the reservoir.
