Sanja Damnjanović

Sanja Damnjanović ( Serbian Cyrillic Сања Дамњановић; born May 25, 1987 in Belgrade, SFR Yugoslavia) is a Serbian handball player.

Sanja Damnjanović began playing handball in 1999 with RK Zemun. After the backcourt player then aground for Serbian clubs zrk Radnički Belgrade and Niš zrk Naisa, it closed in 2008, the Slovenian top club RK Krim on. With Crimea in 2009 she won the Slovenian Championship and Slovenian Cup. In October 2009 Damnjanović returned to Serbia, where she played for zrk Zaječar. With Zaječar she won twice the Serbian Cup. Damnjanović signed in 2011 a contract with the Croatian club zrk Podravka Vegeta, with whom she also triumphed in the national championship. Since the 2013/14 season she goes for the Danish club Viborg HK hunting for goals.

Sanja Damnjanović belongs to the cadres of the Serbian national team. With the Serbian selection they took in 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2012 at the European Championships in part. At Euro 2012, she was elected to the All-Star Team. At the World Cup 2013, the Serb won the silver medal and has also been elected to the All-Star Team.
