St. Peter am Kammerberg is a market town in the district of Murau in Upper Styria with 2100 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013).

The municipality comprises the cadastral Althofen, Feistritzwerke, Kammerberg, Mitterndorf, Petersdorf, Pöllau and St. Peter.
History
The municipality of St. Peter was built in 1849 /50. On 1 January 1968, the municipalities Feistritzwerke on Kammerberg, were incorporated Pöllau am Greim and Petersdorf.
Policy
The council is made up of a total of 15 members, of whom three persons belonging to the parish council.
From the municipal councils belong to 8 of the SPÖ, the ÖVP 6 and one of the FPÖ. Mayor until his death on October 6, 2007 Walter Perner ( SPÖ), on Friday, November 16, 2007 was Sonja Pilgram ( SPÖ) elected by the Council unanimously, as his successor, Vice Mayor Peter Bishop ( SPÖ). Municipal treasurer Franz Wieser ( ÖVP).
