Sanny Ã…slund

John Sanny Åslund ( born August 29, 1952 in Torsby ) is a former Swedish football player and current coach and manager. Åslund played from 1971 to 1973 as a hockey player in the highest Swedish league.

After his career as a coach, he was marketing director at the Norwegian oil company Statoil. In 2000 he became director of the Swedish traditional club AIK Solna Stockholm from the Twin Cities. The plan was to build a team that should be internationally competitive. After descending from the first Swedish Allsvenskan League and threats from their own Fanlager Åslund 2004 left disillusioned the club.

Sanny Åslunds brother Anders also played at AIK. His son Martin Åslund played for the club and is currently a professional soccer player in Denmark. In the Swedish national team, it brought Sanny Åslund on only five appearances, as he was often injured and barely played through one season.
