Sanpei Shirato

Sampei Shirato (Japanese白 土 三 平, Shirato Sampei, actually: Noboru Okamoto (冈本 登, Noboru Okamoto ) * February 15, 1932 in the prefecture of Tokyo) is a Japanese manga artist.

Shirato began drawing at age 25. From 1959 to 1962 he released his first significant Manga Ninja Bugeichō, which he recorded in a historical- realistic style. Thematically, as the drawing itself judged the series at an adult audience and is one of the first Gekiga. In 1964, he began the series Kamui Den, which was divided into several narrative cycles. The dramatic experiences to the young ninja Kamui playing in Japan at the time of the Edo period. From these two volumes appeared in 1995 on the German publisher Carlsen.
