Sânsimion

Sânsimion or old spelling Sînsimion [ sɨnsimion ] (deprecated Sântsimon or Simoneşti; Hungarian Csíkszentsimon or Szentsimon ) is a municipality in Harghita county in Transylvania, Romania.

Geographical location

The community Sânsimion located in the Eastern Carpathians in the historic Székelyföld on the upper reaches of the river Olt (Alt ). On the left bank of the Alt, on the county road (drum Judetean ) DJ 123A and the railway line Sfântu Gheorghe Siculeni - Adjud the place is about 12 kilometers southeast of the county town of Miercurea Ciuc ( Csíkszereda ).

The population of the municipality is as follows:
