Sant'Alfio
Sant'Alfio is a city in the Province of Catania in the Italian region Sicily, with 1602 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).
Location and data
Sant'Alfio is located 35 km north of Catania on the eastern slope of Mount Etna. The inhabitants mainly work in agriculture.
The neighboring municipalities are Adrano, Belper, Bianca Villa, Bronte Castiglione di Sicilia, Giarre, Linguaglossa, Maletto, Mascali, Milo, Nicolosi, Piedimonte, Randazzo and Zafferana Etnea.
History
Since 1928, the place is self-employed. Before that, the place was a district of Giarre.
