Sant Andreu de Palomar

Sant Andreu de Palomar is a neighborhood of Barcelona in the district of Sant Andreu.

Location

Sant Andreu de Palomar is located in the north-east of Barcelona.

History

It was, along with other former suburbs of Barcelona ( Gràcia, Sants, Les Corts, Horta, Sant Marti Sant Gervasi Sarria and later ), incorporated on April 20, 1897 against the will of the people by decree of the Queen of Spain in the city of Barcelona.

Towards the end of the 19th century, the city was founded in the 11th century as growing rapidly, it was on the train to Granollers and 1878 it had 14,615 inhabitants, there were cotton mills and weaving mills, potteries etc.

This district is the football stadium Camp Municipal Narcis Sala.
