Santa Bárbara d' Oeste ( Portuguese for: Saint Barbara of the West) is a city in Brazil. It belongs to the metropolitan region of Campinas, state of São Paulo, located about 130 km from the capital city of São Paulo.

The city is regarded as the cradle of the Brazilian automobile industry because of the Isetta, the first produced in Brazil automobile rolled off ( under license).

In the years around 1860, the city decided that the allied refugees were allowed to remain by the American Civil War ( Confederados ) in the region. Among these was the Senator from Alabama named William Hutchinson Norris. Since that time there every year on the second Sunday in April a picnic all allies with former food and songs

Santa Barbara has some museums and tourist attractions, including the Immigration Museum.
