Santa Lucía is a city in the south of Uruguay.
Geography
Location
The city situated on the eponymous river Santa Lucia is located in the Department of Canelones about 50 km northwest of the capital, Montevideo.

History
The city was founded in 1782 under the name of Villa San Juan Bautista. On June 15, 1925 was carried out by law Nr.7.837 their classification in the category " Ciudad ".
