Santa Rosa de Conlara

Santa Rosa de Conlara is the capital of the department of Junín in the province of San Luis in the west of Argentina. It is located 20 kilometers away from Merlo.

History

The town created following the construction of the chapel of Santa Rosa de Lima at the Estancia of Manuel Salazar. This was followed by a long, initiated by the then Gobernador Justo Daract process of distribution of land for settlement and development of the region. The founding date of Santa Rosa de Conlara is the 7th Juli 1857.
