Santana Gohain

Santana Gohain (born 1969 ) is a contemporary Indian artist. She lives and works in Baroda.

Life

Santana Gohain studied print -making at the College of Arts and Crafts in Assam and completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Print -making at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Baroda, with distinction. There she worked in printmaking workshops with the Spanish artist Joaquin Capa as well as sculpture workshops with the French professor Jean -Louis Raymond. In addition, the abstract artist participated in various kinds camps in India. In addition, her work has been exhibited internationally.

Santana Gohain almost always works in their works with different media and materials, such as chalk, graphite and paper. About her work, she said: "Works are not only paintings, working on the surfaces is very sculptural. I use graphite like clay ".
