Santiago Acasiete

Wilmer Santiago Acasiete Ariadela shortly Santiago Acasiete ( born November 22, 1977 in Callao ) is a Peruvian football player, who is in his home at Club Sportivo Cienciano under contract. Through his time at UD Almería Acasiete also has a Spanish passport.

Playing career

Association

Santiago Acasiete began his career as a footballer in his Peruvian homeland in 2001 Deportivo Wanka. He immediately became a regular player. The following year he went to league rivals Universitario de Deportes. There, too, he had quickly a regular place safely. The high-scoring center-back joined for the seasons 2003 and again in 2004 the club to play in the league rivals Cienciano del Cuzco. Then moved Santiago Acasiete 2004 Spanish second division side UD Almería. There he was able to prevail and put his scoring prowess to the test. In the season 2006/2007 he reached with his team's promotion to the Spanish first division.

After eight years and more than 200 official matches in Almería Acasiete moved back to his homeland and signed with his previous employer Club Sportivo Cienciano.

Internationally

Santiago Acasiete is Peruvian national team. He took part in the Copa América in 2004 and 2007. However, at present he is excluded from the game, as he is said to have smuggled into the team hotel before the game against Ecuador women and alcohol.
