Şanver Göymen

Şanver Göymen ( born January 22, 1967 in Samsun ) is a former Turkish football goalkeeper and coach. Due to his six years for Altay Izmir he is associated with this club. With the Turkish national team, he participated in the 1996 European Championships, but came during this tournament at any stake.

Playing career

Association

Göymen began with the club football in the youth of the Turkish Black Sea club Samsunspor. Here he succeeded in the summer of 1987 in the cadre of professional teams and completed to the end of season two league games for his team. He was the second goalkeeper behind the undisputed first-choice goalkeeper Fatih Uraz. Samsunspor had finished the past two seasons on the third place in the table and finished the season 1987/88 on the fourth place in the table. In the 1988/89 season the club also successfully started and sat up firmly. Göymen graduated from here until the winter break no league meeting and sat on the bench. In the first match of the season the team had to play away against Malatyaspor. In the season 1993/94 he moved to first division Altay Izmir. Again managed Göymen within a very short time in the starting eleven. In Altay he quickly established himself for service providers and also rose to the national team. In the six seasons he reached for Altay Altay with in the season 1997/98 the 7th place in the table, which again meant the best placement for the former club accustomed to success after a long time. Already in the following season he had a disadvantage compared to the fetched from Trabzonspor goalkeeper Nihat Tümkaya and only played in two league games.

For the summer of 1999 he left after six years Altay and moved to the second Lig relegated to Çanakkale Dardanelspor. Here he played only one season and the second season was loaned to the third division Manisaspor. For the summer of 2001 he ended his football playing career.

National

In December 1994 Göymen was nominated as part of a test match against the Italian national team by then- coach Fatih Terim the first time in his career in the squad of the Turkish national team. During this game, he made ​​his international debut. After this international debut he was two years on the regularly nominated players of the national team and came to four other international appearances.

With the Turkish national team, he participated in the 1996 European Championships, but came during this tournament at any stake. After this tournament Terim left the team and was replaced by Mustafa Denizli. This trainer preferred other goalkeeper.

Coaching career

After end of his career as a professional football player he moved into coaching specialist and worked in several positions as a goalkeeper, and co- head coach. In the season 2010/11 he assisted his old coach Ümit Kayihan at second division Çaykur Rizespor as goalkeeping coach.
