The Sanzenbach is a creek in northeastern Baden- Württemberg of 3.6 km in length, which opens at Rose Garden vineyards from the right in the beaver.

Geography

Source and course

The Sanzenbach rises about 7.5 km south-west of Schwäbisch Hall on Ostabfall of Mainhardter forest on the southwestern tip of the hills rose garden. Approximately one kilometer west of Schwäbisch Hall hamlet Sittenhardt located on the plateau (up to 512.5 m above sea level. NN ), about a mile east-northeast of the hamlet Sanzenbach the town of Rosengarten ( 360 m above sea level. NN ). The source itself is situated on the forested slope at about 442 m above sea level. NN between the Geißklinge the north and the hospital Halden in the east.

In the north-east of young brook running down his wood blade and occurs after about 0.6 miles and at about 384 m above sea level. NN in shallow running into the wide corridor bay, passes about 100 meters later, three tiny ponds, where the Zimmertshaus stands opposite on the left slope. After these flows from the right a small stream from the hospital to Halden, entering the meadow at the foot of the forest slope from the top of a rear projection. 400 meters further down the valley passes the Sanzenbach a herbaceous pond to his left and then turn to the east. From the west of the Zimmertshaus lying tufts mountain here runs from a wood blade on the edge of the floodplain, in a tiny pond is, of, but not noticeably drained by topography to Sanzenbach. After 1.8 km the stream flows to the level of the first houses of the hamlet Sanzenbach from the right Bright Klingenbachstrasse which has the appearance of a forest blade between hospital dumps in the southwest and community forest in the south and on the landing limit initially passes through a 0.3 -acre pond. Here the Sanzenbach already flowing in a small but significant depression at the foot of the hamlet of the same name and takes 100 meters later a shorter flow time from the left, the clump meadows.

After 2.2 km it passes under the K 2593, which runs from the hamlet Sanzenbach after Bibersfeld in the northeast; here are a few houses of the settlement in the well and left the barrel. Hundred meters then drained from the right a nondescript waters in the Sanzenbach that arises on the northern edge of the community forest and has previously touched the grounds of the former moated castle Sanzenbach on the low terrace above the country Sanzenbach - trough; on the situation, it must nevertheless this have fed the water from which the fortified settlement have received wetlands on the southern and western edge. 2.7 km below the source is again a pond of 0.1 ha, this time the right of the stream which runs stayed in much deeper trough now. After passing an evacuee at the left slope itself, opens after a total of 3.1 km from this side of the Long Meadow Brook in him. After a total of 3.6 km in a valley on the top shell of the Sanzenbach occurs between old quarrying on the right and left mouth spur and also over and pours it just before the Riedener bathroom from the left at an applied in the creek bed pedestrian crossing at about 247 m above sea level. NN in the beaver.

Catchment area

The Sanzenbach drains an area of 4.5 square kilometers west of the underflow in the beaver. It is for the greater part in the hilly landscape of the Rose Garden, the smaller the escarpment slope to the west and south up to the Mainhardter forest. The first is located in an open field, on the mountain increase is mostly forest.

The western tip of the catchment area lies on the top of hard fields on the eastern edge of the plateau to Sittenhardt that drains the northern part on the customs Hardter creek and the Rötenbach to spruce Berger red. From here the watershed runs towards east-northeast down on the promontory of Mount tufts into the hill country and to its confluence with the beaver on its eastern tip. The otherworldly competitor here is the approximately parallel beaver inflow Sülzbach. From the mouth of the watershed on the steep escarpment slope moves to southwest over the Sanzenbacher level and then between the slope forests Bülz and community forest up to the western plate lights. Here drains the outside adjacent area on the bottom for Sanzenbach also parallel, smaller Riedach also for beaver. Up on the plateau runs the border of the catchment area in a slight arc to the west and then north-west at about the route of the link road between Sanzenbach and Sittenhardt back to the Hart fields. Otherworldly competitors on this route only the largest beaver inflow Dendelbach and then on the longer piece in turn leads to spruce Berger Red draining Söllbach.

The population in the catchment area is low and avoids the vicinity of the creek bank. Besides the village Sanzenbach with three or four solitary, nameless courtyards outside is that only the living space Zimmertshaus. Apart from a small snippet beaver Fields district of Schwäbisch Hall in the west the entire catchment area belongs to the community rose garden, which also includes all settlements.

Inflows

Source of Sanzenbachs the middle forest slope between the Geißklinge and the hospital dumps at about 442 m above sea level. NN.

  • Three ponds together about 0.1 hectares right by the stream against the Zimmertshaus.
  • Inflow from a rear projection at the foot of the hospital Halden, from right at the end of the ponds from the Birkach, at least 0.3 km.
  • Reeds pond left of the Ostkehre Sanzenbachs, less than 0.1 ha From here follows a row of bushes the creek.
  • Bright Klingenbachstrasse, from right at the first houses on a dirt road crossing Sanzenbachs, 1.0 km. Arises in a forest blade between hospital dumps in the west and the community forest in the east and feeds on the forest edge, a 0.3 -acre pond.
  • Bach from the tufts ways, from left hundred meters, 0.8 km.
  • Bach from the edge of the water castle Sanzenbach, from right around a hundred meters after the crossing Haalstraße (K 2593 ), about 0.6 km. Arises at the foot of the community forest and touches the castle stables in the northwest. Tree Passed side branch on the southern edge of the site.
  • Pond of 0.1 ha size of the barrel right on a dirt road crossing.
  • Long Meadow Brook, from left next to an abandoned quarry pit, 1.3 km away. Source in the Kräutlesäckern.

Mouth of the Sanzenbachs 3.6 km below its source above the Riedener bath from the right in the beaver.

Geology

The Sanzenbach arises in the transition region between Schilfsandstein ( Stuttgart Formation ) and the Gipskeuper ( grave field Formation) below. The stream reaches about at its Ostknick the Lettenkeuper (Erfurt Formation), in which he then runs to just before the mouth. In the valley floor are half-bog soils here. The estuary into Biberstal is cut into the Upper Muschelkalk.

Its catchment area starts at the top at the edge of the pebble sandstone plateaus ( Hassberge lineup ) east of Sittenhardt and southern lights on the board. Under a narrow Steilhangsaum in the Lower Colorful marl ( Steigerwald Formation) lies just to the west at one point a Schilfsandstein strips of appreciable width. On the middle Keuper slope in the south up the pebbly sandstone there is widespread scree. On the hill back between underflow and the Riedach right is loess.

History

On the northern edge of the plate lights located next to a direction from the west Beilbergs pulling farm road just before a fork of overgrown rubble of the former country Sanzenbacher tower of the Haller Landheeg. A section of Heeg moved here from the Dendelbachtal coming, above the hospital Halden and the west and later north at about the eaves of the forest along Mainhardter.

In the hospital dumps some abandoned ravines draw steeper than the current infrastructure with its Serpentine the right loamy slope high, today they are widely impassable by overgrowth and rubble slope.

Landscape

The natural landscape surrounding the Sanzenbach divided into the hillside forest in the south and west of the catchment area, which occupies a little more than one-third of its total area, and the flat hilly rose garden landscape at his feet. The latter is one half of grassland which occupies large areas outside the narrow valley in the shallower layers, and the other consists of fields, which reduces drag in some places even to the brook.

On Sanzenbach and in its vicinity there are several protected habitats. Many wetlands, the natural environment of the small creek, which flows to the Sanzenbach from right from the Birkach; the small pond in a forest blade in the eastern slope of the mountain tufts; the pond at a forest belts lined Ostknick of the stream, stands in the reeds; a wet meadow in a clearing on a slope in the south between the forest walks after Sittenhardt and the Bright Klingenbachstrasse; an accompanying wood strips to the forest exit of the Light Blade Bach himself; a wetland in the south and west of the former moated castle; and a near-natural section at the opening out long Wiesbach with wood. The Sanzenbach itself runs below the hamlet usually in a fairly straight V-groove, rarely a tree or shrub stands at the.

Except at the sunken road section in continuation of the gravel mountain road from the hamlet to the water reservoir in the community forest still standing in other places protected copses: North of the hospital Halden projects a wood tip to the hallway Won Birkach, from which the above small stream flows out. On the eastern outskirts of the hamlet is close to the " water castle Bach" another box hedge and left of the bottom barrel extends from the inflow of the Long Meadow brook at almost to the mouth of a tail stripe on here very pronounced upper slope kink along and separates farmland above grazed hillside below. In the lower half of this stream section a further and wider rear strip of the brook runs left in the trough.

The entire catchment area up to the beaver belongs to the Swabian- Franconian Forest.
