In the municipality of 479 inhabitants (as at 30 June 2011).

History

The municipality of São Caetano is the youngest of the island of Pico, it was created in 1880.

2004, the well-maintained also in the church of São Caetano viticulture of the Pico Island was included in the UNESCO World Heritage.
