São Miguel do Gostoso

São Miguel do Gostoso is a lonely seaside resort in the northeast corner of Brazil in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. The official name is São Miguel de Touros, the Munizip to be renamed after residents Miguel Félix, who was over 100 years old and was named because of its pleasant nature but Gostoso.

It has 8,121 inhabitants ( IBGE 2000), which covers an area of 342 km ².

Geography

São Miguel do Gostoso located on the Atlantic Ocean with coordinates 5 ° 0 ' South and 35 ° 48' West. It is located 110 km north-west of Natal and 25 km west of the much busier Touros. The mean annual temperature is 25 °. The rainy season lasts from April to July, the rest of the year the sun shines through constant wind, it stays relatively cool.

Attractions

In 25 km west nearby beach Praia do Marco is a duplicate of the first Portuguese " structure " from 1501, which has left the expedition under Gaspar de Lemos in Brazil. The original was taken to the Forte dos Reis Magos in Natal.
