São Vendelino

São Vendelino is a city in southern Brazil in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. Covering an area of ​​38.75 km ² live around 1,900 inhabitants. The city is located around 90 km from the capital Porto Alegre in the region of Caí Valley.

Since 2003, São Vendelino is twinned with the town of St. Wendel, Saarland.

History

After the beginning of German immigration in southern Brazil in 1824, the country was first awarded by the imperial government to the " colonists ".
