Şaphane is a town and a district of the Turkish province of Kütahya. The city is located about 80 kilometers southwest of the provincial capital of Kütahya.

The district is located in the southwest of the province. It is bordered on the west by Pazarlar and Simav, to the east by Gediz and on the southwest by the province of Manisa. South of the county town crosses the highway D -240 the district, which runs from Bergama on the Aegean coast to Kütahya. To the east of the town of 2120 meter high mountain Şaphane Dagi (also expressed Akdağ ). In the southern part of the county there are several small lakes, including the Kızıloltük Göleti.
