Saphir (band)
Sapphire was one of four German girl band that is 2010 of 2007-10 organized by KI.KA Casting and Voice Competition KI.KA emerged from the winners of the best vintages LIVE voice. The band was founded in Erfurt ( KI.KA site) and was at the record company Universal Music Domestic Pop ( German -speaking young artists ) under contract.
History
On 6 July 2009 the final day of competition Best Voice 2009 Winner Lea Sofia Nikiforov first met on the previous year's winners Jennifer Have (2007) and Kathrin Sicks (2008), who sang a duet (When you Believe) in the accompanying program. The three singers were musical similarities and decided to form a band little later. They were able to convince the producers Joe Chialo, who had originally planned a single- production with Lea Sofia Nikiforov, from their purpose. Winning the contest, a solo recording contract, Nikiforov exchanged against the formation of a band and production of an album. The name of the band, sapphire, goes back to a proposal by Jennifer Do, who wanted to express something " valuable, unique, precious ," and stands for " diversity and uniqueness ." Since January 2010 the trio in the evening program of KI.KA LIVE was seen. The management lacked a deeper voice as an accent in the band and so the winner of best voice in 2010 was to be the fourth member of the band. The 12 -year-old candidate Amely summer won on 15 April 2010 competition and thus became the fourth member of sapphire. Jennifer have ended on their involvement in the tape speed.
The foundation steps and the tape life are accompanied by cinematic KI.KA as docu-soap. Tom Bean (Senior Vice President at Universal Music ) allowed the singers the band's formation. He has marketed the band Tokio Hotel.
The beginning of 2011 the band played first on Facebook, and later on their website in a letter to the fans know that they want in 2011 to concentrate on their solo projects. This means that the band is no longer first occur together, so that not the absolute end of the band was announced.
Music
Sapphire plays German pop. The singers accompany themselves with musical instruments. Did Jennifer plays piano, guitar and saxophone, Lea Sofia Nikiforov plays piano and guitar, and Kathrin Sicks plays the piano. Amely summer plays keyboards and viola, and learned for the band as a new tool bass. All four sing in the choir.

The debut album Sapphire (28th May 2010, Polydor ) was, among other things by Steve van Velvet, Jasmin Wagner ( Blümchen ), Maya Singh, Ingo Politz and Jay Khan wrote and produced. Although sapphire take some professional songwriters to help, but the singers texts of their songs also own ( Our World, My Town, November). The album was produced in Berlin, where the singers media-friendly stay in a loft for their stays.
The band had their first major appearance on 2 June 2010 at the children's television festival Prix Jeunesse International in Munich and at the 23 June 2010 their first appearance at a major open-air concert, the Mega Rock in the holidays in Erfurt. Sapphire accompanied, supported by a drummer ( " Josh " ) from July to September, the " KI.KA Summer Tour 2010" in eight German cities.

Members
The members of the band were at the time of accession Amely summer fourteen ( Jenny Do ), thirteen ( Kathrin Sicks ), fifteen ( Lea Sofia Nikiforov ) and twelve ( Amely summer) years old and students at the high school. Have Jennifer and Kathrin Sicks attend the same school and attended the same kindergarten.
Jennifer "Jenny" Have (born 16 July 1995 in St. Wendel, Saarland ). Since she was six years Jenny received piano, since the seventh saxophone, and since zwölten singing lessons. Playing guitar they taught himself. Lea Sofia Nikiforov ( born January 14, 1995 from Langgoens, Hesse, her grandparents came from Kyrgyzstan ). Lea was already 4 years for the first time on stage and receives since 2007 at the Acting School Academy of Stage Arts in Oberursel / Taunus part-time classes in singing, acting, dancing and musical ensemble. Also in 2007, she sang in a Christian youth choir in a musical about the life of the missionary Hudson Taylor, the role of the daughter Gracy Taylor. In 2008 she won a singing competition at the Hessentag. In April 2009 she won with her sister in the group " Roxy " Performance Cup at a band contest for young people in Butzbach. Kathrin Sicks ( born August 3, 1996 from St. Wendel, Saarland ). Kathrin had their first appearances at family celebrations, received since then together with her sister singing lessons, sang in the local children's choir Goldkehlchen, and came with her sister on larger events. In 2008 she won with eleven years KI.KA Competition Best Voice 2008 ( Final Title: Because of you by Kelly Clarkson, 49.3 percent of the vote ). After her victory, she released the single "miracle" ( Words and Music Lukas Hilbert ) promotional trailer of the television broadcast world of wonder and played live shows in the " KI.KA Summer Tour 2008". Fady Maalouf texte a French version of the song for them. Kathleen's manager at the time Volker Neumüller ( 313 Music ) had planned a CD in which they should sing a duet with her sister.
Amely " Amy " Summer ( born May 24, 1997 in Plauen, Saxony), Amely 's since the age of three to a music school and gets since 2008 singing lessons.
