Sapporo Half Marathon
The Sapporo Half Marathon (Japanese札幌 国際 ハーフ マラソン 大会, Sapporo Kokusai hāfumarason taikai, . Engl Sapporo International Half Marathon ) was a road race, which was held in Sapporo from 1958 to 2012. It was organized by the Japan Association of Athletics Federations JAAF, the Yomiuri Shimbun, the transmitter Sapporo Television Broadcasting and the Sapporo Health Sports Foundation.
By 1973 he was discharged as a marathon and was Hokkai - Times marathon. From 1974 to 1986, the track length was 30 km. 1980, the competition was expanded to include a women's race over 20 km. In 1986, a half marathon from this distance. Since 1987, the men completed a 21.0975 - km route.
Following the withdrawal of Hokkai Times from the event 1990 she received her final name. In December 2012, the organizers announced the setting of the event.
The track was a turning point in the center of Sapporo course with start and finish in the Maruyama Stadium.
