Saprolegnia

Saprolegnia, water mold or fish mold is a representative of Eipilze. He lives in the water on dead plants and animals, but a parasite on weakened fish and then has a fluffy, cotton- like appearance. He tolerates a temperature range 3-33 ° C, but feels more comfortable at lower temperatures. Saprolegnia is relatively easy to identify under the microscope due to the long, transparent hyphae.
