Sara Bareilles

Sara Beth Bareilles [ sæɹə bəɹɛlɪs ] ( born December 7, 1979 in Eureka, California) is an American singer- songwriter and pianist. Her breakthrough in the U.S., she managed in 2007 with the single Love Song.

Life

Sara Bareilles grew up in Eureka and graduated from the local High School in July 1998. She then studied at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she belonged to an a cappella group. After she completed her studies in 2002, she performed in clubs and bars, and published in 2003 two demo albums that predominantly contained live tracks.

Her first studio album Careful Confessions Bareilles published in January 2004, in April 2005, she signed a contract with Epic Records. Bareilles toured 5 In July 2007 with Marc Broussard, Aqualung and Mika and Paolo Nutini and Maroon Sara Bareilles their second studio album Little Voice, which reached the Top 10 of the U.S. album charts. With the single from the album Love Song reached fourth place in the U.S. singles charts.

On 1 December 2010 it was announced also that Sara Bareilles has been nominated for a Grammy in the category " Best Female Pop Vocal Performance ".

In Germany their third studio album Kaleidoscope Heart was released on February 11, 2011.
