Sara Levi-Tanai

Sarah Levy- Tanai ( born 1911 in Jerusalem, † October 3, 2005 in Ramat Gan ) was an Israeli composer and choreographer.

Life

Levy- Tanai was born in 1911 in Jerusalem, the daughter of Yemenite parents. She became known for their dance and musical interpretations of the Yemeni and Jewish folklore and modern Israeli stories. Were known, for example their compositions "The Story of Ruth " and " My Love 's Voice".

Sarah Levy- Tanai in 1950 founded the " Inbal Dance Troupe ". 1973 drew you take them out with the Israel Prize for art, music and dance. Sarah Levy- Tanai died on 3 October 2005 in Tel Aviv- Ramat Gan (Israel).
