Saraiki (Arabic: سرائیکی / Gurmukhi: ਸਰਾਇਕੀ ), sometimes spelled Siraiki, is an Indo-Aryan language, spoken by 13.8 million people in Pakistan, India, and partly also in Afghanistan. It forms a dialect continuum with the Sindhi and Punjabi, which have adopted many words from the Saraiki.
Saraiki has 16 vowels and 48 consonants.
Saraiki is written with both a modified persoarabischen alphabet and in the Gurmukhi script, but most Saraiki - speakers can not read or write their language.
