Sarcus
Sarcus is a commune with 283 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011 ) in the department of Oise in the Picardie region. It belongs to the district Beauvais and Canton Grand Villiers.
Districts of Sarcus include La Basse- Bucaille and La Haute- Bucaille, Grasse and Haleine in the West ( part), La Chaussée, Le Moulin de Sarnois, Le Petit- Sarcus, Le Moulin - Taillefer ( now abandoned ), La Viefville or Viéville (cemetery ) and Hayon and Le Wallon in the southeast.
Originally Sarcus was around a wooden Motte in the district of La Viefville. End of the 12th century, the wooden replaced less than a kilometer away by a stone plant and the place installed according to its present place. The old site now bears the name La vieille ville Viefville = (old city).
