The Ahmedabad Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, also Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport or Ahmedabad International Airport, known in German as the Ahmedabad airport and in Gujarati સરદાર વલ્લભભાઈ પટેલ આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય વિમાનમથક, is an international airport located near the city of Ahmedabad in the state of Gujarat in western India. He served both the cities of Ahmedabad, which is the main city in Gujarat and Gandhinagar, the capital of Gujarat.
The airport is named after the former statesman and politician Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Jhaverbhai, who died in 1950.
